May we rise as a nation to greet this inauguration day and the days to come with renewed hope and a spirit of unity, hearts open to becoming all we are meant to be.

I remember the Eisenhower inauguration well,also. If Ann was in second grade, I was in fourth. Mrs. Radke, our teacher,believed it important for us to learn this lesson in Civics. Truth told, it was an important motivator that inspired my interest in public service for the years of my life.
